A Message From Our Founders: Why We Do What We Do

“A house is built by hands, but a home is built by heart. We treat every project as if we were building for our own families.”

When we founded Capital Renovations & Extensions Ltd in 2019, we didn’t just want to start another construction company. Having spent over 20 years on active building sites, we had seen firsthand where the industry often falls short. Too often, building projects become cold, transactional, and incredibly stressful for the people paying for them. We knew there was a better, more human way to build.

To us, your project isn’t just another job card or a set of technical structural calculations. We know that letting builders into your home requires an immense amount of trust. You are handing over your safe haven, your hard-earned savings, and your family’s daily routine. That is a responsibility we take deeply to heart.

Driven by Your Ideas, Built on Integrity

Our philosophy is simple: we listen first, and we build second. Your ideas, your lifestyle, and your dreams are the true foundation of our work. Our job is simply to use our two decades of trade expertise, structural engineering knowledge, and craft skills to safely shape your vision into a beautiful reality.

Whether we are extending your living space for a growing family, completely modernising a dilapidated auction property, or restoring a specialist PRC concrete home to make it safe and mortgageable, we bring the exact same level of personal care and attention to detail. We keep our sites tidy, our communication open every single day, and our pricing completely transparent.

We love what we do because we love seeing the transformation—not just of the bricks and mortar, but of the way families thrive in the spaces we create together. Thank you for considering us to be a part of your property’s journey.

FAQs

Absolutely. We take that stress completely off your shoulders. We work alongside trusted architectural partners and local authorities to make sure your extensions, structural changes, or PRC repairs fully align with UK Building Regulations and get official completion certificates.

We welcome them! This is your home, and sometimes visions evolve as the walls go up. Because we work collaboratively, we will sit down, discuss how the adjustment impacts the structural timeline or materials, adjust the itemised quote transparently, and proceed only when you say the word.

If you live in or bought a PRC home, it can be difficult to insure or mortgage. We replace those defective concrete units with traditional, safe brick-and-block construction. This takes your house off the housing defect register, keeping your family safe and making your property fully mortgageable.

We keep a tidy, highly organised site, section off work areas safely, and communicate daily about noisy phases or utility shut-offs. We treat your living spaces with the highest level of domestic courtesy.
